प्रयाग भारत, पुणे: पूर्व सेना प्रमुख जनरल मनोज मुकुंद नरवणे ने भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच संघर्ष रोकने के फैसले पर उठ रहे सवालों की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि ‘‘युद्ध न तो रोमांटिक होता है और न ही यह कोई बॉलीवुड फिल्म है।’’ उन्होंने रविवार को पुणे में एक कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि यदि आदेश मिले तो वह युद्ध के लिए तैयार रहते, लेकिन उनकी पहली प्राथमिकता हमेशा कूटनीति रहेगी।
नरवणे ने कहा कि जब रात में गोले गिरते हैं और सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले लोगों, खासतौर पर बच्चों को शरण स्थलों की ओर भागना पड़ता है, तो वह अनुभव उनके मन में गहरी वेदना छोड़ता है। उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘जिन्होंने अपने परिजन खोए हैं, उनके लिए वह दर्द पीढ़ियों तक बना रहता है। इसे ‘पोस्ट ट्रॉमैटिक स्ट्रेस डिसऑर्डर’ (पीटीएसडी) कहते हैं। जो लोग ऐसे भयानक दृश्य देखते हैं, वे 20 साल बाद भी पसीने में भीगकर उठते हैं और उन्हें मनोचिकित्सकीय मदद की जरूरत पड़ती है।”
यह कार्यक्रम ‘भारतीय सनदी लेखाकार संस्थान’ द्वारा आयोजित किया गया था। नरवणे ने कहा, “युद्ध कोई रोमांटिक बात नहीं है। यह आपकी कोई बॉलीवुड फिल्म नहीं है। यह एक गंभीर विषय है। युद्ध या हिंसा अंतिम विकल्प होना चाहिए। हमारे प्रधानमंत्री ने भी कहा है कि यह युद्ध का युग नहीं है। भले ही अविवेकी लोग हम पर युद्ध थोपें, हमें उसका स्वागत नहीं करना चाहिए।” उन्होंने कहा, “फिर भी लोग पूछ रहे हैं कि हमने अब तक पूरी ताकत से युद्ध क्यों नहीं किया। एक सैनिक के रूप में यदि आदेश दिया जाए तो मैं युद्ध में जाऊंगा, लेकिन वह मेरी पहली पसंद नहीं होगी।”
जनरल नरवणे ने कहा कि उनका पहला विकल्प कूटनीति होगा, संवाद के माध्यम से मतभेदों को सुलझाना और सशस्त्र संघर्ष की नौबत न आने देना होगा। उन्होंने कहा, “हम सभी राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा के समान हिस्सेदार हैं। हमें सिर्फ देशों के बीच ही नहीं, बल्कि अपने बीच, अपने परिवारों, राज्यों, क्षेत्रों और समुदायों के बीच भी मतभेदों को संवाद से सुलझाने की कोशिश करनी चाहिए। हिंसा किसी भी समस्या का समाधान नहीं है।”
भारत ने छह और सात मई की दरमियानी रात ‘ऑपरेशन सिंदूर’ शुरू किया था, जिसके तहत पाकिस्तान और उसके कब्जे वाले कश्मीर में स्थित नौ आतंकी ढांचों को निशाना बनाया गया था। यह कार्रवाई पहलगाम में हुए आतंकी हमले के जवाब में की गई थी। भारत और पाकिस्तान ने शनिवार को जमीन, समुद्र और आकाश में सभी प्रकार की सैन्य कार्रवाई और गोलीबारी को तुरंत प्रभाव से रोकने पर सहमति जताई थी।
