प्रयाग भारत, पौड़ी गढ़वाल: उत्तराखंड के पौड़ी गढ़वाल जिले में पुलिस ने शातिर ब्लैकमेल गैंग का भंडाफोड़ किया है. पुलिस ने युवती समेत गैंग के दो सदस्यों को गिरफ्तार किया है. आरोप है कि ये दोनों आरोपी पहले लोगों को प्रेम जाल में फंसाते थे और फिर आपत्तिजनक वीडियो बनाकर उन्हें ब्लैकमेल कर मोटी रकम वसूलते थे.

एसएसपी पौड़ी लोकेश्वर सिंह ने मामले का खुलासा किया. उन्होंने बताया कि कोटद्वार कोतवाली में एक व्यक्ति ने तहरीर दी थी. व्यक्ति ने अपनी तहरीर में पुलिस को बताया था कि एक महिला और उसके पुरुष साथी ने उन्हें रेप केस में फंसाने की धमकी देकर अवैध वसूली की है.
इस आधार पर कोतवाली कोटद्वार में मु.अ.सं-107/2025, धारा 308(6) BNS के अंतर्गत मामला दर्ज किया गया. वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक लोकेश्वर सिंह के निर्देश पर पुलिस टीम का गठन किया गया, जिसमें अपर पुलिस अधीक्षक चंद्रमोहन सिंह, क्षेत्राधिकारी निहारिका सेमवाल और प्रभारी निरीक्षक कोटद्वार के नेतृत्व में गहन जांच की गई.
सीआईयू टीम की मदद से दोनों आरोपियों नवजोत सिंह व उसकी महिला साथी को गिरफ्तार किया गया. पूछताछ में चौंकाने वाले खुलासे हुए. पुलिस ने पूछताछ के दौरान आरोपियों ने बताया कि महिला लिफ्ट मांगकर वाहन चालकों से दोस्ती करती थी और फिर उन्हें प्रेमजाल में फंसाकर होटल या कमरे में ले जाती थी.
आरोप है कि होटल में जाने के बाद पहले से तय प्लान के तहत नवजोत सिंह आकर दोनों की वीडियो बना लेता था और फिर उसे वायरल करने की धमकी देकर मोटी रकम वसूलता था. पुलिस के अनुसार अब तक दर्जनों लोगों को इस गिरोह ने अपना शिकार बनाया है. दोनों के आपराधिक इतिहास खंगाला जा रहा है.
