प्रयाग भारत, पौड़ीः जनपद पौड़ी के श्रीनगर में सोमवार को बड़ा अग्निकांड हुआ। जिसने पूरे इलाके में अफरा-तफरी मचा दी। यह हादसा कोतवाली रोड स्थित काली मंदिर के निकट एक रुई के गद्दे और रजाई बनाने के कारखाने में हुआ। जहां अचानक आग भड़क उठी।
प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, आग लगने के समय कारखाने के बाहर ताला लगा हुआ था। जिससे यह अंदाजा लगाया जा रहा है कि वहां कोई मौजूद नहीं था। हालांकि जैसे ही लोगों ने धुआं उठता देखा पूरे इलाके में हड़कंप मच गया। प्रारंभिक जांच में आग लगने का कारण शॉर्ट सर्किट बताया जा रहा है। कारखाने में बड़ी मात्रा में रुई, गद्दे सामग्रियां मौजूद थी। जिसके कारण आग ने तेजी से विकराल रूप धारण कर लिया।
आग इतनी भीषण थी कि कुछ ही मिनटों में पूरे कारखाने को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया। स्थानीय लोगों के अनुसार, आग की लपटें इतनी तेज थी कि पास के घरों तक भी फैलने का खतरा उत्पन्न हो गया था। कई लोग घबराकर अपने घरों से बाहर निकल आए। घटना के तुरंत बाद स्थानीय निवासियों ने पुलिस और दमकल विभाग को सूचित किया।
इस घटना की सूचना मिलते ही फायर ब्रिगेड की टीम मौके पर पहुंची और तुरंत आग बुझाने का काम शुरू कर दिया। आग पर काबू पाने में लगभग एक घंटे से अधिक समय लगा। क्योंकि अंदर मौजूद ज्वलनशील सामग्रियों के कारण आग बार-बार भड़क रही थी। दमकलकर्मियों ने पानी और फोम का इस्तेमाल कर आग पर काबू पाया और धीरे-धीरे उसे पूरी तरह बुझाने में सफल रहे।
गनीमत रही कि इस हादसे में किसी भी प्रकार की जनहानि नहीं हुई। घटना के समय कारखाने के बाहर ताला लगा था, जिससे कोई कर्मचारी अंदर मौजूद नहीं था। हालांकि, आग के कारण कारखाने में रखा लाखों रुपये का सामान जलकर राख हो गया। आसपास के घरों और दुकानों को भी मामूली नुकसान पहुंचा। लेकिन समय पर आग पर काबू पा लिया गया। जिससे एक बड़ा हादसा टल गया।
