प्रयाग भारत, नैनीतालः उत्तराखंड में नैनीताल की भ्रष्टाचार निवारण कोर्ट ने तत्कालीन वन दरोगा को घूस लेने के आरोप में दोषी पाते हुए तीन साल कठोर कारावास और 25000 रुपये अर्थदंड की सजा सुनाई है।
मामले के अनुसार रामनगर के गुलजारपुर वन चौकी के वन दरोगा शैलेन्द्र कुमार चौहान को सतकर्ता अधिष्ठान हल्द्वानी की टीम ने दो अप्रैल, 2019 को कोसी नदी में खनन में लगे वाहनों को छोड़ने की एवज में एक लाख रुपये घूस लेते हुए रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार किया था। आरोपी के खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम की धारा 07 के तहत अभियोग पंजीकृत किया गया। साथ ही विशेष न्यायाधीश भ्रष्टाचार निवारण और अपर जिला एवं सत्र न्यायाधीश प्रथम नीलम रात्रा की अदालत में वाद चलाया गया। अभियोजन अधिकारी दीपा रानी की ओर से 15 गवाह अदालत में पेश किए गए।
अदालत ने गवाहों और साक्ष्यों के आधार पर आरोपी को भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम की धारा 07 के तहत दोषी मानते हुए तीन साल कठोर कारावास और 25000 रुपये जुर्माना की सजा सुनाई है। साथ ही जुर्माने की रकम जमा नहीं करने पर छह माह अतिरिक्त साधारण कारावास की सजा दी है।
