प्रयाग भारत, लखनऊ : भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम स्टार बल्लेबाज विराट कोहली ने सोमवार को अचानक टेस्ट क्रिकेट को अलविदा कह दिया। इससे कुछ दिन पहले ही टीम इंडिया के कप्तान रोहित शर्मा के भी टेस्ट से संन्यास ले लिया। इग्लैंड दौरे से पहले टीम इंडिया के लिए यह एक बड़ा झटका माना जा रहा हैा।
सूत्रों के मुताबिक 20 जून से शुरू होने वाले इंग्लैंड दौरे से पहले कोहली ने BCCI को टेस्ट क्रिकेट से संन्यास लेने के बारे में बताया था।
सोशल मीडिया पर संन्यास की घोषणा
विराट कोहली ने अपने इंस्टाग्राम पोस्ट में कहा, “14 साल हो गए हैं जब मैंने पहली बार टेस्ट क्रिकेट में बैगी ब्लू पहना था। ईमानदारी से कहूं तो मैंने कभी नहीं सोचा था कि यह प्रारूप मुझे किस सफर पर ले जाएगा। इसने मेरी परीक्षा ली, मुझे आकार दिया और मुझे ऐसे सबक सिखाए जिन्हें मैं जीवन भर अपने साथ रखूंगा…मैं हमेशा अपने टेस्ट करियर को मुस्कुराते हुए देखूंगा।”
छत्तीस वर्षीय कोहली ने पिछले साल ही टी-20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय से संन्यास ले लिया था। उन्होंने भारत के लिए 123 टेस्ट मैच खेले हैं जिसमें उन्होंने 46.85 के औसत से 30 शतकों की मदद से 9230 रन बनाए हैं।
उनके संन्यास के साथ ही टेस्ट प्रारूप से भारतीय दिग्गज खिलाड़ियों का बाहर होना जारी है। रविचंद्रन अश्विन (दिसंबर में) और रोहित शर्मा (पिछले सप्ताह) भी इस प्रारूप से संन्यास ले चुके हैं।
